MIDDLE EAST SMART LIGHTING & ENERGY SUMMIT 2013
11-12 November, 2013 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Under the Patronage of
MUNICIPALITY OF ABU DHABI CITY
Abu Dhabi will again play host to the Middle East Smart Lighting & Energy Summit, which last year attracted over 350 senior-level professionals committed to the deployment of energy-efficient lighting across the Middle East.
Governments worldwide are looking to increase energy-efficiency and slash costs as they begin to phase out general use incandescent lamps, creating exciting new opportunities for engineers, architects and manufacturers of intelligent lighting solutions.
The Sustainable Public Lighting Strategy is now being implemented by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City to contribute to at least a 60 per cent reduction in power usage, 75 per cent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions and a reduction in maintenance works by 40 – 80 per cent in the future.
The improved performance capabilities and cost reduction of LED’s and other high-efficiency light sources is boosting demand for these products across all sectors. According to a report by the Centre for Industrial Studies the UAE lighting industry is now worth US$336 million and is expected to grow by 5 per cent in 2013 and by 10 per cent in 2014.
The Middle East Smart Lighting & Energy Summit 2013 is a must-attend event for anyone interested in learning the latest trends in lighting technology, policies affecting the industry and key projects being undertaken in the Middle East.
